I am overwhelmed with joy at the number of responses from the Ask Me Your Questions video, I can’t even tell you. There were literally hundreds of AMAZING questions, and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed reading each and every one of them. There was just no way for me to limit my answers to just 3-5 questions, as originally discussed. So, I decided to break it up into a few Q&A sessions. Here’s the first!
Like clothes, the right lipsticks can inspire a mood. Thank goodness for lipstick because there have been many a days where painting my lips is the exact thing that turns my frown upside down. So I thought it’d be fun to choose some of my favorite BOLD lipsticks, then rifle through my closet and see what was born. It was a blast! I just love how each lipstick creates such a distinctive…attitude! In this video we have:
I was recently asked to host the 50th Anniversary Show for WVON Radio– literally the only black owned and operated radio station in Chicago– with Matt McGill, and I it was a treat to be a part of this incredible milestone. I had such an AWESOME time I just had to share it with you guys! So flip through the gallery, and follow me through the adventure.
This is a fun read and a page-turner for sure. It is about 4 women in the upper crust of NY being fabulous in their Jimmy Choos. I won’t give more away than that. Just read it. It has the right amount of sex, titillation and cheating to match up with a healthy dose of romance, love and fantasy. These 4 women are smart, flawed and sexy and the writing keeps your brain awake and wanting more. This is not heavy literature, but it is a damn fun read. I read the first book in the Shades of Grey series but I found myself flipping forward in the hopes of something that might really turn me on (yeah I said it). What was that writing? I couldn’t read beyond book one of Fifty Shades of Grey but One Flight Up held me. Plus, the added bonus here, that’s never mentioned (not even on the back cover): all four ladies are women of color. What a treat! How great to see this side of us. Go Susan Fales-Hill!!! Thank goodness you are writing. Now let’s turn this into a movie could we please!?!
